Today marks 2 years since I underwent weight loss surgery ♥️ I lost 236lbs. It was the hardest journey of my life and looking back at photos from the last two years… wow… so much has changed. I remember cancelling my appointment 5 times because I was so scared. I remember not losing my first 50lbs fast enough and feeling so stupid and vulnerable for choosing to share my experience online for millions of strangers to see and pick me apart. I remember losing my first 100lbs and feeling like I betrayed the plus size community and myself. This was really hard for me I remember still feeling so insecure after losing 150lbs because it was never actually about how much I weighed. I remember feeling the highest highs after losing 200lbs but also my lowest lows. 236lbs later, and the most important thing I learned was to embrace the evolution of me. I learned to give myself grace.
