Olivia Rodrigo changed a lyric in her song just so she could roast Sabrina Carpenter. Olivia released a teaser for “Driver’s License” and it talked about a brunette girl hanging with her crush. But when Olivia released the full song, she changed “brunette” to “blonde” because she was mad at Sabrina. This is because Sabrina started dating Joshua Bassett after Olivia, and what happened next was shocking. Sabrina clapped back at Olivia when she released her song “Skin”, She sang “Maybe blonde was the only rhyme” which referenced being called the “blonde” girl in Olivia’s track. Then Olivia said something surprising, Olivia said she didn’t even know Sabrina so it was impossible to write a song about her but fans knew they had actually met several times. After this Olivia dropped “Deja Vu” which fans speculated was once again about Joshua and Sabrina. One of the lyrics read, “Do you call her, almost say my name? Let’s be honest, we kinda do sound the same.” But Joshua refused to fuel any drama and said the public should focus on Sabrina and Olivia’s art instead of their relationship with him.
